Nitrous to Turbo 347

i've been tossing this idea around my head for quite some time. I currently have a 347ci roller motor in my 89 f-150 i have a cast crank and good quality I-beam rods forged pistons cometic gaskets 10.49:1 compression arp bolts all around trickflow 190cc twisted wedge heads victor jr intake manifold comp cams gold rockers and a .598 lift cam with 280 duration and a quick fuel 750 mechanical secondary carb

I currently run a 125 shot of nitrous on it and have my rings gapped a little wide for the hotter cylinder temps

my question is what size turbo would i need (with a front mount) in order to keep the same ballpark horsepower figures as when i'm on the nitrous. And could i just get thicker head gaskets or do i have to get new pistons.

Would it be easier on the motor to run boost or should i just keep spraying it?

PS: i know i would have to modify my carb for blowthrough

That is a lot of compression for a turbo engine. I wonder if it would be possible to add some water injection to keep detonation down. I can't imagine that you could continue to run that much compression, but as to how much to drop it, all I can do is guess. with water it should tolerate it better

Agreed, running boost with a pretty high compression like that will cause some nasty detonation. You're going to need some kind of controller to help with that - even with water/meth injection added.
