Way cool tale of a family and the truck that made life possible. The vehicle in my family was a 55 ford coupe, I dont know what motor it had, but I still remember the grin my sister and I got on our face when Dad punched it, and we got pushed back in the seat. Thanks for the memories.

It might be fun to start a thread on "What did your family drive while you were growing up". I own three Fords right now, but I never actually thought of myself as strictly a "Ford man". But my dad had mostly Fords while I was growing up, except for that 60 Impala my sister wrecked. A 56 black and white 2 door, a brown 58 wagon, a red 62 Thunderbird, a brown 64 LTD, a white 65 F100, a 70 something black LTD, another 70 something LTD... Was that subliminal teachings? One reason I got a 2010 Fusion is because Ford didn't take government money.

The only other Ford my family had was this 1955 Ranch Wagon. That's me washing it at age 4 or 5. I loved washing that car!
