1999 f-250 cummins and nv4500 swap

I have a 1999 ford f-250 4x4 ext. cab. It is a 5.4 auto, switch operated transfer case. Im going to install a 98 12v cummins, a rebuilt nv4500,and dodge manual transfer case. Im in need of info and parts. In need of clutch pedal assembley, intercooler, and things to change things for manual t-case( boots , floor pieces). thanks for any info

There are a few places, like destroked.com or fordcummins.com that will have the parts that will allow you to utilize a ZF 5 or 6 speed instead, then you can utilize a manual NV-271 transfer case. Much less engineering if you go that route.

I wreaked a 1998 dodge so i own all big pieces. I used to own a brand new 04 f-350, the 6 speed was junk, Ill never own a zf6 agian.

send me your email

this is my build 98 12v 4500 273 t case now a manual shift the way I look at it if you are going to spend 700-1500 on adapter plates why not put that money in a really good clutch

4500 is a good trans just have to fix the fifth gear issue here is a fix that really works
http://fifthgearrepair.com/<wbr>nv4500repair.html

you will be better off with the 273 than the 241 hd or dhd the second number is t case strength the higher the number the stronger

here are some pics of my build

To each his own. Most of the stuff I have been reading online says just the opposite, owners swapping out the NV4500 for a ZF6, but it is your truck so go for what you want.
