That's some good looking wood, Lynn. Is it yours or done for a client?
I was sawing the customer's logs to his specifications and I am sure that most of this lumber will be sold.
Different sawyers have different markets that they cater to. Mine is almost exclusively portable sawing customer's logs at their location. In addition to local sawing, so far this year I have been to Drant, Lumberton, Greenville, Natchez and am now looking at a job in Gautier.
Will do Steve. I should know something next week. Of course the kicker on distant jobs is the necessary travel expense. Remove that "200 miles = $200", and a local sawyer is cheaper. Time will tell. Lynn
...I think a regular scheduled meeting would be a great idea. Maybe weekly on line and monthly in person.
I'm up for it.
Haven't ever participated in a real time multiple participant chat. I know some sub organizations on FTE do it, but I don't know how to set it up or actually do so myself. If someone has the steps post it up & we'll do some practice runs.
Morning Dennis, thanx for stopping by.

Wish you'd been around a couple of months ago. My Wife's Mom had an OLD chinaberry tree cut out of her yard up in Lake Village AR & it was laying out next to her curb in huge chunks. The coloring & patterns in the grain were beautiful & made me wish I could have had it cut up for tabletops & other projects. ( I would have dragged it home & wherever it needed to be cut up gladly)
My late aunt & uncle had some cedar cut up into 12 X 1s a few years back here, south of Brandon. Nice stuff, unfortunately its going to hell in a leaky old chicken house.
