I have been researching all about serpentine belts and planning to replace mine this weekend. I have a 95 f150 4.9 with AC so when I look up the parts on Autozone and Oreileys they have 98" and 97". So I looked up which brands were the better ones that people had less squeaking from seems like gates, Goodyear and motorcraft....so I checked motorcraft they also said there's both 97 and 98 to chose from. I know I can measure it with a string but I would like to know what are other truckers reason for getting the 97 belt versus the 98.

The correct belt is a 97". Buy Gates and nothing less!
