63 c4 help

I got a 63 lb and it will go in to all gears but wont move, but i have a electric issue im also working on, my question is there anyway that the electrical issue could effect the tranny?

(bought the truck a month ago and it didnt have any brake lights, well a friend said he would fix the brake light problem and took my truck well 8 hours later my truck came back on a tow truck with all the wires out and ignition apart. I put it all back together and the truck ran for a day and then the tranny stopped working? could i have wired it wrong?

Welcome to FTE

No 1963 anything came with a C4 as original. The C4 was first introduced at the beginnng of the 1964 model run.

The C4 has 11 trans pan bolt holes, was not factory installed until 1965 in F100/250 2WD's and then only with 240 & 300 I-6 engines.

2WD: 1961 F100's with 292's, 1961/64 F250's & 1962/64 F100's w/a 223 I-6 or 292 came with the FX Cruise-O-Matic, the trans pan has 14 bolt holes.

I don't know of any electrical issue that could affect the trans from not moving after it's placed into any gear. Most likely on a vehicle this old, it's an internal trans problem.

4WD's wee not available with an A/T until 1973, then it was the C6 only that has 17 trans pan holes.

right i forgot to mention an important part, that the motor an tranz are out of a 78 f100 with a 302 and c4. Thank you for your response.

I rewired it, and now i got this winding noise, so back to the drawing board.
