A friends 56' BW Flightning Build Picture- Darkside
My friend who did the build on my 55' and hopefully will do my 56' has just finished his 56' BW cab with a Lightning Engine. Him and his mom are finishing up the interior. It is a beautiful HOMEBUILT truck. Here is the prototype he built to use for reference:

The cab prepaint
THE FINAL PRODUCT. Interior still to be finished
THE BUILD SHEET
Front suspension: 95 Crown Vic Police complete rebuild
Rear suspension: 76 Ford Thunderbird 9" disc brake 3.50:1 ratio w/ custom 31 spline axles positraction, 3/4" sway bar
Modifications to the frame: Completely boxed, front clip welded in, rear spring front hanger raised to top of frame, 2" lowering shackles on rear. Stock rear springs modified with removed leaves.
Brake lines: Stainless w/ stainless braided flex hoses
Wheels: Rocket Booster Front 18x8 - Rear 18x9
Tires: Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 Anniversary Front P245/45R18 Rear P275/40R18
Gas tank: 77-82 Short wheel base Chevy/GMC van.
Motor & Trans: 03 Ford F-150 Lightning 5.4L Supercharged / 4R100
Fuel pumps/sending unit: Stock unit from 03 Lightning custom fit into Chevy tank.
Radiator: New stock replacement - Intercooler: stock 03 Lightning.
Exhaust: 2.5" diameter Stainless custom kit - Mufflers: Flowmaster Hushpower II
Modifications to body: HID headlights & driving lights, rounded corners on the doors, 3" wider rear fenders, exhaust exit through roll pan, LED parking and tail/brake lights, fresh air vents removed, gas fill through bed wood, reverse tilt hood, recess in the firewall moved out to clear heads on motor.
Paint: PPG Concept, Black, Grabber Blue, Performance White, and Sublime Green pinstripe
Steering column: 89 Ford F-150
Seats: 97 Mercury Cougar 30 anniversary
Gauges: Speedhut custom gauges. GPS speedometer
Radio: Clairon head unit. 2 6x9 speakers, 2 4.5" speakers, JL amp, JL 10" subwoofer
Power windows: custom made using stock regulators & parts from 97 cougar windows

Yeah that is the skinner version of me. Since that time a lot of my shirts have gotten smaller it seems! ha ha. We traded some parts for work. I had a Vintage Air evaporator, a new gravel pan, and some front suspension parts. I was there that Saturday as he was laying in the front end. He lives 150 miles away from me. So I wasnt out there often. I was happy for how it turned out and thought other might like to see the build. Maybe get some ideas or something. Shoot might even motivate somebody
