1977 Ford ranchero won't start when warm
I'm having problems with this car. I built it and drove for 10 years... now giving to my son.... it has an excellent motor, and new dist, module, battery, starts and will idle perfectly but after going about a block it dies and won't start for hours.
Could it be the pick up assembly? The carb has gas getting to it.

When it fails to start, you say it has gas, so verify the spark...
I'd pull a wire off a spark plug, insert a screwdriver into the end and hold near a ground while somebody inside tries to start it.
You should see a strong, blue spark; do you get this?
The pickup in the distributor instructs the module to fire the coil.
