Yesterday evening I was able to start fitting the cab to chassis. By far the most difficult portion of this project. Brain is getting old and does not think so well anymore but still gonna make it all work.
What makes it even more difficult is it far too hot outside where the hoist is so it needs to be done inside where its a bit cooler & that for most part working by myself. Waiting for a friend to drop in to position the cab.
Because the "donor" veh was a 154" wheelbase and the new chassis is only 126" I was a bit worried about the exhaust system. I found that if I removed the factory resonator and just welded the resonator pipes together it was proper length to fit in stock ford exhaust hangar brackets! Original tail pipe was damaged when it was hit so will need to fab one up.

Body cab mounts on the way. Once they show I can get rear of cab mounted.
I moved the cab forward on frame as much as possible to still have an ok look on front wheel openings. Cab is as low on chassis as I can put it and still be able to have engine clear hood and cowl area. A lot of compromises to make it all work.
The dash will be a little challenge also. Once that is done and floor welded in could probably take it for a spin, LOL of course the '66 front end is probably a FOOT shorter than the 2011-12 so will need some fender stretchers to get it to fit. Now that the cab is lowered on the frame, core support/ radiator also nip and tuck. Intercooler will be toughest part as if mounted in 2011 position it would be 8" or so in front of bumper . . .

105.6, even with tylenol etc the temp would hover around 101-102. So Tuesday went to the local urgent care, they immediately sent me to ER
I then spent a few days in hospital. Turns out I had a bad case of Pneumonia
with a large portion of my right lung infected.
Doc says it could be a month or so before I start doing better but should feel some improvement after a week. Fever just will not go away. Really hot as my normal body temp is 97.x not the normal 98.6.
If this keeps up I may end up back in hospital as having difficulty eating or even having much for fluids. The IV's given seemed to do a much better job.
Sleeping nearly around the clock now...
I did make a little progress even tho I was feeling so crappy but think it will be a while before I can get back on the project.
