Engine opinions
I have started to think about upgrading the motor in my supercab and am wondering if I should stick with the rebuilt 360 that lives in there now or go find a 460 block that I can build my dream engine from? There isn't a thing wrong with it besides being a donor engine from when the original 360 threw a rod. But after reading all the threads about them the 460s look like Iike they are cheaper and more friendly to modify than the FE I have now.

I'm no expert but having played with both I would say keep the 360 and put a stroker crank in it and run the hell outta it. The money you will save from buying the 460 doing the motor work and getting all the components need for the swap you could build a stout stroker FE. Because you will need a new trans or bell housing, new frame perches, all accessory brackets, and ignition system. I liked the 460 I had but it came in the truck so it was cheaper to build. I like my 360 I have and the replacement going in will be an FE but that's what came in the truck.

Dollar for dollar, aftermarket support is decent for the 460 and it'll come out miles ahead. If ya want show and go, look up Jon Kaase Racing Engines.
However, a built FE is just as good albeit more costly to build. Visit Survival Motorsports and be inspired with 445 cubic inches of glorious FE power.
