OEM 20" wheels??

Looks like the wheels are running about $300 each, without tires. There is a take-off set on ebay right now with new Michelin tires for $2250. They will definitely fit with V/B swaps. Think of 2 things:
1) If you tow, it will lower the RPMs and drop the engine out of the optimum torque curve (for 6L). You may need axle swaps.
2 ) The overall height will go up about 1".

On ebay the wheels and tires are expensive, but I've seen several sets with at least half tread go locally on craigslist for under $200 per wheel/tire... a couple have gone for about $150/ per wheel tire. No one wants 20's because the tires are quite expensive, so at least around here, a lot of people like to swap back to a 16 or smaller.

Craigslist is the way to go. Especially for big wheels. I've seen so many 18's and 20's for $500 or less. They almost always need new tires which will run another $1200-1500+ depending on how nice you want.
That is undoubtedly why people sell them and downgrade 16s. That's why I upgraded to nicer 16's.

Labman, I picked my '04 Super Duty 18"s up off of Craigslist for $600 with tires (2x 40% tread, 1x 60% tread, 1x new), center caps and lug nuts. These wheels came on '04 trucks with leaf springs fronts so the offset/back spacing is correct for our EX's without the need for $pacer$. This style was available as a Harley version with the H-D shield logo, polished like mine or chromed.

I am running OEM 16's right now and have been wanting to upgrade to 05+ 20" wheels for some time and I just picked up spacers from Fred. What is the major gripe everyone has about spacers/larger wheel/tire combos? I know it adds a fair amount of unsprung weight to the wheel and I will eventually go with a hawk brake setup but will I notice a stopping issue the moment that I install them?

bigger wheels don't always weight more. dunno about the oem's, but oftentimes alloy wheels are lighter than the tire they replace.
but as far as gripes, you have less sidewall, so less protection against curbing and scratches and dings. less sidewall deflection, so you get more rumble and you feel more nvh. Tires are pretty ridiculous compared to 16 or even 18" wheels.
beyond that, spacers can vibrate, they stress the hub more due to added leverage, they are an additional point of failure, usually the weakest one, etc.
and then the only positives are basically that they look cool in some peoples eyes. less sidewall also means less deflection under severe handling but since the ex would probably roll over with even a reasonably sticky tire on it, i don't really consider that aspect of things.

Things to consider.
1. buy a matching spare. It will fit in the back of the X. I used a 300lb rated carabiner to extend the mounting screw and removed the tray under the spare.
2. with stock 3.73 gearing I get 20mpg at 65mph, and 12 mpg pulling my 8K lb toyhauler (30ft long and 11 ft high). If I up the speeds to 72 or so I get 18.5mpg unloaded/and 11mpg towing. I think the truck pulls fine, but it also has a 4" exhaust and innovative tune. I seldom use tow haul mode, as I just dont tow heavy enough.
3. Check your lug nuts often. Mine have always stayed tight, but I check them anyway.
4. be prepared to get alot of comments about how good your wheels look!
