Cold Air Intake Did I Make A Mistake?
I intalled a S&B Cold Air Intake on my stock 7.3. It is selaed getting air from inner fender and a snorkle. I did this thinking it might help lower EGTwhen towing or help with fuel mileage. I never got a mpg increase and I can't time it exactly to blame the intake but I have lost about 1.5 to 2 mpg????

When did you do the install? A lot of us see a 1-2 mpg decrease associated with winter fuel, but I am pretty sure that the winter fuel is now gone from our area down in the south (until this coming fall).
You should not see that kind of negative impact on the S&B, assuming that it was designed for the 7.3, that is.

I'm with F250, shouldn't have caused negative anything. did you change out a stock intake? did you install the intake air temp sensor? Doesn't make sense, you opened up your intake by pulling air from 2 locations and have a higher flowing filter. should at minimum reduce ext. temps. milage is a tuff one to figure.

It could be a seasonal fuel I have seen changes with that before. I did intall the air temp sensor.
I am in the process of replacing the EBP tube and sensor. I tried cleaning it but it was such a pain and I don't think the tube cleaned up very well I just decided to replace them. Should be here in a couple of days...
