CelticDevilDog's 05 F150 Build thread

I haven't seen too many build threads started in this section of the forum but I figured I'd start one. If it's in the wrong place just let me know.

Here's what I'm starting with: White 05 F150 King Ranch basically stock. It's in great shape for stock with 66K miles on it but who really wants a stock vehicle. It's got window tint, Rhino lining and the Gotts mod already.

Things to do:
Amp Research Step (Just showed up today, will be installing this weekend)
Buckstop front bumper - should ship in about a week.
4" Lift kit
Replace shocks
35" tires
Fix lights to HID all around
Headers
Fix exhaust
Add Custom tunes.
Other random things as they come up.

My hope with all this is to get it done by the end of the year. We'll see how that goes.

I'll get current pics of my truck posted so we can see the before and watch it progress.

So I couldn't wait until this weekend to start the steps. So far I've only removed the factory running boards and unboxed the steps. If it's nice tomorrow I will try and get the steps installed and then maybe the wiring if I don't lose light to quickly.

Pretty good looking truck. I want to see what you do with it as cause you have the painted tan bumpers like me.

Yeah I'm replacing the bumpers because I don't like the tan color. I'll probably get the bottom panels painted too.

Are those Explorer wheels? Call me crazy, but I'm not aware of 04-05's having wheels like that. Maybe it is the King Ranch that came with them? There aren't a lot of those around here so that may be why I don't recognize them.

Also, did your fender flares come paint matched like that or did you get them done yourself? I want to get mine done like yours.

Anyway, great looking truck. Can't wait to see more.

Honestly I'm not sure about the wheels. They came with the truck when I bought it (which was only about 6 months ago).

Same with the fender flares, however from what I can tell from other pics of king ranches on google the fender flares came color matched from the factory.

Lariat fender flares are painted to match the bottom color too.
