Ok, new member here. Picked up a very original rust free 1975 F250 4x4 that's going to be undergoing restoration. Has nearly all the original parts on her, even original paint, but the dealer installed side view mirrors are long gone. Someone was nice enough to even leave the attaching bolts screwed into the doors, but the mirrors are long gone.

I read over some previous posts and somebody uploaded a page out of a 1980 Ford parts manual....I'm guessing that the original mirrors were either Type 2 or Type 7. Two attachment points, above and below the window, upper bracket is 2" on center, lower is 1.5" on center, and approximately 21.5" spread between the brackets. I would LOVE to find some NOS mirrors, and my second choice would be to find some used.

Anybody know of good sources for these mirrors?

 

Type 2 mirrors are knowns as "Jr. West Coast" mirrors - the two-legged version. I haven't seen very many Dents with Type 7s.

I think I have a spare set of Jr.'s in my parts room- OEM with the Ford script. They are no longer produced - that's why I save 'em from the crusher.
