I am going to do an EGR delete but I am also about to go to Ft. Benning on the 11th of April. My plan is to pull the turbo and send it off to get it rebuilt so that as soon as I get back from Georgia I will be ready to finish up. The turbo isn't broken but this seems like a good opportunity to do $400 in preventative maintenance so I don't have to completely replace it (120,000 miles) I'm not a mechanic but I have a reasonable grasp on things....even still, I am a little intimidated by this job. There is a case of beer in it for anybody who has done this job before and is willing to help. I am in Tacoma Washington if you are interested. I could probably muddle through it but any help would be appreciated. It will be just the turbo removal at first and when I get back we will finish up. Thanks
The only hard part about removing a Trubo is the bolts that are rusted/welded in there due to it being on the exhaust. lol, It's still an easy job, anyone can do it.
