So, I wanted to swap my fake Burlwood center dash panel for the dark foundry gray one from an XLT. My 09 had the Burlwood on the doors and the dash and it had a nice gloss finish. It also looked nice on a Royal Red truck with black interior. This truck has the matte finish Burlwood and it's only on the dash. Not only does the low luster finish look bad, but it's only in one spot so it looks out of place. It also does not go well on a Ingot Silver truck with black interior. Everything on the truck is silver/black/chrome except this one area. Looks out of place to me. Anyways, I tried to order it from Horizon. I know Ed retired, but their site is still up. I logged into my account and wrote to them to ensure I had the correct part number. Two days later nothing. (Ed always responded in an hour or so.) So, I email them again. Again, a day later and nothing. So, I go to Silver State Ford Parts, get a reply in a couple of hours and order. The part shipped two days later. So, what happened to Horizon? Are they done selling online to us FTE guys? I deleted them from my bookmarks, and am very happy with Silver State. Still, my curiosity is getting at me. After years of people here ordering from Ed, they just drop of the net when he retires?

 

With Ed not there, the place just doesn't seem the same. Still good prices on warranty and maintaince packages through Austin there but for parts I go to Trousley Ford now. Best prices around and decent service.
