I am having a issue with. The slide pin breaking on my 06 F350. The first time I noticed a brake job was due so new calipers pads etc now that slide pin is broke again... Any idea what's causing it?

That is odd and a little dangerous

Where is it breaking at

Could the caliper be hanging alittle and getting everything really Hot is it eating break pads or just Slide pin breakage.

Have you lubed with High Temp Grease

 

That's pretty odd. For that to happen the caliper bracket would have to move which to me says that the two bolts holding the bracket on are not tight. If the bolts were loose the go into the pin were loose the breaks would either work real poor or make a lot of noise.

When I did my brakes the pins were frozen in the caliper bracket but that doesn't sound like the same issue that you are having.

 

Brakes actually work fine. They just rattle! Pads are fine too. Yes I lubed everything when I did the brake job. It's weird. It's the driver side front...
