Which Model Year Expedition is Best; 2008, 2009 or 2010?
Which year Expedition, 2008, 2009 or 2010 do you think has the least major problems (i.e. paint, engine and/or transmission)?
When I buy later this year, the budget will allow for a model in this range of years. Thanks.
Six of one...I have a 2010 and have had the same paint issues as the other years.....general rule though...the later in the series the more Ford has a chance to fix issues during the build process....not a solve all though
I have a 08 Limited and it's been relatively problem free.
2009 they started coming with SYNC, rain sensors, Flex Fuel, 10hp more and I believe the tranny was slightly different.
Other than that I think they are all the same.
I agree though, what you can get the best deal on. If I want used I always go oldest with lowest miles as the price is always better than a newer one with the same miles with similiar makeup/known issues.
We bought our 2007 EB EL new and now have 61,000 miles. It has been problem free except the driver's power seat will stop sliding back and forth. All other movements work fine. It seems like after it warms up it will start working. I am thinking it is a bad connection in a relay but I cannot quite figure it out. Anyway we have been very happy and I am sure you couldn't go wrong with a "08-'11. I'd go for a King Ranch. I have the KR on my F250 and love it. Whatever you buy make sure it has had all the TSBs completed.
