roof leak?

07 mkx leaking through passenger map light. Roof upholstery and panoramic coof cover are dry. Looks to be windshield or antennae. Seems to happen when it's parked. Either after being driven or parked overnight. Doesn't happen when you come to a stop.

Anyone have this experience?

Anyone know how to get the black plastic piece in between windshield and vista roof off to look and see what's going on?

Thanks,
Tim

I haven't had the issue. Are there any other roof penetrations in the front besides the sunroof? F-150s can leak around the forward mounted satellite radio antenna.

Is there any drain tubes for the sunroof that are plugged?

My thoughts too; a plugged drain tube but the part I need to look at (I think) is under the black panel in front of the sun roof- the one with the radio antennae mounted to it. No other roof penetrations,

I'll head over to the Ford parts dept and ask to see an exploded view of the assembly. Also see if they've had any similar complaints.

thanks,

Tim
