Gotta have it! Morris can you move this to the "No Topic Thread"? Are there T-shirts available or only decals?

Thanks for the info, that's awesome.
I didn't see the outriggers until you mentioned this.
I was about to ask djanzen how in the world the chassis would handle an extended boom and even 1,600 lbs.
Someone would have had to virtually smack me.

I can post a thread in the Man/Sask chapter on the decals.
Sorry, no Chapter T-Shirts are available.

Well I found out today that you can drive a f550 1400kms on the highway with the electrical connector to the fan unplugged. but cannot run the compressor for a hour and a half without the engine overheating!! was using the compressor for a long period of time today and the truck smelled warm, i look at the gauges and the temp is in the hot , started looking around the engine and found the plug to the fan flapping loose. plugged it back in and the engine cooled right off, funny thing is no codes on the dash or wrench light? WTF you would think the fan unplugged would throw a code????

But your example makes lots of sense to me. When running on the highway you're having lots of air flowing through the radiator keeping things cooled. The semi trucks I used to drive had air fan clutches, they were either on or off and no in between. You heard loud and clear when they engaged, and that was a rare occurrence unless pulling a long grade in warm weather. But moving 80,000 lbs through the air at 65 MPH rarely required the use of the cooling fan.
Of course when you're stopped there is little air moving through the radiator and yet your engine is still making power. This will get things hot in a hurry if there is no cooling fan!

The truck drives nice for the weight it is. Lots of power six speed trans takes a little to get use to. I can hardly wait for it to be off warranty! Its getting deleted and chipped.
