Just so y'all don't think I threw this thing away and forgot about it:

I spent a few weeks helping my Dad move and then was out of the country for 2 weeks. Now I'm back and bored, so I'm thinking about going down to Lowe's to get some fiberglass and resin.

I'm kinda wondering now if the final product could be made of shredded glass mixed with resin and placed in a closed mold and shaken around. (sorta like how toilets are made)

Dang. I WISH I had time to be bored! I could use more shop time for sure!

As for the glass on the parts - do it out of cloth. The resin strands sounds/looks like a PitA!

TAP Plastics Has all the fiberglass stuff if you want to glass it. Ive found theyre resin is better quality than the stuff you get at lowes or home depot. Id use chopped mat for your mold, wovens not going to conform to it as good.

They also have a bunch of mold making supplies, everything youd need. check out their website.

I'm wondering about this too. I'd love to have a 2 or 3 gauge pod.
