Edit : this things only been on for a bit, like 1 oil change, how long did yours last?

Wow, you'd thing a little more engineering and design would be appropriate for an item that could easily destroy the entire engine.

Just curious what was the purpose of the aftermarket air intake in the first place?

yes.... spartan kit... 40 hp - 350 hp... recently installed.

came with turbo back exhaust and AFE air intake.

Was running stock no DPF, then tried 150 hp, didn't like it at all. Loaded 275 and ran it one night before i noticed this issue.

I tell you, i don't race or bag drive, but the 275 tune was just what i wanted. I was able to cruise down the highway with 4lbs of boost. Mileage up for sure.

ANOTHER FORD FUSION TRANS PROBLEM - YouTube
what is the cause of this? we have this car also and have been very happy with it,less than 30k .You have this trouble also? I drive it on short trips when I don't want to start the 6.4 and like how the trans moves to a high gear quickly for good mpg's ,seemed to downshift well for freeway passing too .is this discussed in another forum somewhere?

Not real sure, but my guess is the torque converter. My car has been flawless, but I only have 17,000 miles on it so far! I just posted to illustrate that under different conditions the engine can move quite a bit. I suspect bad motor mounts had something to do with this though... The guy who posted this, joediesel187, is a diesel mechanic at a Ford dealer and posts lots of videos on the different Powerstroke engines as well as other Ford products.

They said usually the soonest failure would be a few years.

I have to believe it will last more than a few weeks.
