86 body style decals

Hey y'all. I'm new here. I noticed there isn't much, decal wise, for the 86 body style trucks, as well as the 6.9 and 7.3 IDI engines. I have never seen an 86 body style truck with a diesel badge on it. What kind of decals are out there for the 86 body style diesels?

the stock decal just says diesel and it is just a emblem that is stuck right under the f250 emblem

Sweet. I wonder why I don't see that badge on the 86 diesel trucks here? I have seen maybe one. I'm hoping I can get an 86 f350 5spd this week, but the guy won't call me back.I test drove it and It was awesome. Wants 1700 for it. Oh well.

Sweet. The truck I have has no emblems of any kind, not even the f350 ones. Instead, they used red bordered white decals. That don't look to swell on charcoal grey. I can find the f350 emblems on Bronco graveyard Unfortunately, It don't look like I'll get the truck, so I'll have to wait till I get some more cash and maybe a truck will roll along. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep that in mind when I get my truck.

Here she is. See what I mean? The decals just don't match. Got to have the real thing. Man, I wish that guy would call me.

How In-depth have you looked into that truck if you don't mind me asking? Because from the pictures you have posted. There are a couple things that stand out to me, which lead me to believe that it has been in a accident.

1: Fresh, shiny paint on a 25yr old truck, and a F350 at that. These trucks were bought to be used like truck. scratches, dents, and rust depending on the locale of the truck. Not like most of todays "Mall Queen/Mall Cruiser" trucks. Sure, it's possible that a PO could have just decided at one time to repaint it and call it good. And the original emblems could have just fallen off over the years, Or when the truck was repainted, the bodyshop may have broken the emblems during the removal process. Who knows? lol. But...

2: The rear bumper from the picture looks either damaged(bent, tweaked, etc), not stock, or way out of whack. Damage could have occured from the 20 plus years of use/abuse, An accident, PO could have replaced it at some point. But, I see one other thing...

3: The Bed and the Cab alignment are about as straight as a circle. The front of the Bed sits much Higher than the rear of the bed. Now if it was crooked. Then I wouldn't think much of it. But with the rake the bed has that I see from your picture. Me personally, I would be worried about possible frame damage based on what I see.

Have you driven the truck? I would really inspect the rear of the frame. Does it pull to one side? If you get to testdrive it, I would have someone follow behind to see how the truck tracks down the road. Because if there is some sort of frame damage. It will wear tires and suspension components funny, faster, the truck will never handle like it should.

It is possible to have the frame pulled, but that will cost some cash. So then you will have to justify if a $1700 truck is worth all that trouble. These things arent like an original 1970 Hemi 4spd Panther Pink Cuda lol.

But again, These observations, assumptions, and suggestions are just based on what I can see and from my previous experiences and working around a bodyshop, And from what you have told us. Anyway, the best of luck to you. and Welcome to FTE

Me and my brother(aka JonathanN) went through that truck with a fine tooth comb. No, it ain't been in a wreck. It ain't perfect, but it is complete. The fact That it has no rust stunned me. Rust is so common for these trucks out here in VA. (1) It is the 3rd paint job. It used to be my favorite color, Brown with a tan strip on the middle than brown on the bottom. Than it was painted white. Than the guy's father did a "Rush" paint job on it. That is what you see now. (2) It used to be a service truck, hence the ugly bumper. He swapped the service bed for a dully 87 bed. (3)When they had the service bed on, put a bunch of spacer bars between the frame and bed. when the guy swapped beds, He was to lazy to take them off, so he just left them on. Yes, I test-drove it. Everything was great. My brother(aka JonathanN) Followed behind and he said it looked good. It tracked strait, rode nice, and it shifted great. The only "Major" problem we saw was:small oil leak on the engine, and the 5spd tranny made some noise when the clutch was released. other than that and the few cosmetic issues, it was in great shape. Now Most of the info is what the guy told us. I don't know how much of it is truth.

Yeah, My brother(aka JonathanN) gives me so much grief for liking it. He calls it a jalopy, gutless, powerless, ect. (He has a 99 f250 Stroker) He ain't that bad, but I don't care. He's gonna help me get her home. That's what brothers are for.
