F350 Rear fuel tank rotted out

I have a 94 F350 7.3 4x4, It appears I have a small pin hole that has rusted completely thru the rear fuel tank and is leaking that very expensive liquid lol. Im going to replace it with a plastic tank but im not sure the easiest way to go about it. The fuel lines dont have alot of slack so im leaning towards taking the bed off, im open to any other suggestions.

Other than being HEAVY, taking the bed off will be easier.

IF you have to drop the tank to replace it theres no need to remove the bed.

Can't replace the tank from the top so you'll need to be under it anyway.
Fuel lines, while seemingly short, have plenty of extra to play with.
I also suggest putting in a bronco rear tank for the extra fuel capacity. I do it to all of mine when I do a rear tank replacement.
Being a diesel though I'm not sure the size of your sending unit being there isn't a fuel pump inside. (or is there, my pump is on the frame of my 2000 but dual tanks may be different)
Anyway. Check into it if you're interested.

Would anyone know what the 4 pins to the sending unit are for? I am working on my F350 and the front tank is not registering. ??

Thanks
Dave
