Does anyone know the GVW and the weight of a F-550?

Diesel reg cab with a 12 foot deck.

Should be on a plate or sticker on the door or door jamb.

VIN may have GVWR coded or axle ratings.

GVW will vary between 17.5-19.5. Empty weight can vary a lot more, from about 9,000 pounds to 14,000 pounds depending on what's bolted to it.

A F550 will easily pull the largest skid steer without issue.

Kinda what I was wondering its to light I think.

Bobcats around 9000 lbs and if the trucks 12,000 lbs that puts me over the GVW

a F550 will handle a bobcat on the back , use to haul a 580 case backhoe on the back of a older F600 and that was scary !
with a F550 you will have a better braking system than the old F600 had !
and you will still be under the 26,001 GVW for a commercial drivers license if that even comes into play up where your at !

It doesnt look like the 550 has enough GVW for what I need to be legal.

Is there a 650 or is the next biggest the 700?

F650s will run over 21000. This is 2012, but previous years aren't going to be drastically different:

Not sure what you're doing, but consider a single axle rig with a roll off:

Buy A Truck used trucks, trailers and equipment for sale

for example.

You use the roll off unit for whatever, and then drive the Bobcat into it, then pull the whole mess on to the truck. (as I've seen a local outfit do)

Having said that, that particular outfit uses tandem axle cab-over trucks and they will take a low sided dumpster full of busted concrete off your hands with ease with one of those.

What bobcat do you have? My 753 only weighs 5000 lbs.. You must have a monster..

you'd need a 700 for a 5 ton payload.
