what size tire to go with? A 305, or 315?

Hey guys, I finally put my rsk and dana 60 on my F250. Now it tire time. I want to run a load range E all terrian. I'm a goodyear guy. I like the wrangler dura trac. I have never towed with them But on my Jeep they are awesome. I was thinking like a 33 or 35. I found a set for 240 a tire new. There 315x75x16 I will be mounting on my alcos. Then I was thinking about running maybe a set of 305 x 70x16.

Does anyone run these size tires and if so what the us size mesurement?

For best fuel mileage what the best size of the to?

Any Imput on the Dura trac for towing? I will be pulling a 7,000 enclose trailer weekly.

I think with the 315 will be to wide for the Alcoas and will put a bow in the treads and wear the center treads out before the rest of the tire.
I had 315/70/16 mud brutes on the rear of mine on the stock steel wheels and that what happen and I only ran 50psi in em

i am running the 315 on 10 inch wheels and i haul my camper and wheeling rig and i have probably around 3-3500 on the rear axle between camper and trailer tounge weight and at 60 they rid great never had a sway issue and have loved them hands down over the km2 i had before, with just the camper the rear felt really loose and with the dura trac doesnt feel loose even at 70-75 mph, not sure on running them on a 8 inch but my only thought is it might make the rear feel a loose compared to a 10 inch wheel

I run 285/75R16 Dura tracs on 8" wide wheels. I've towed over 10,000lbs over 400 miles at a time and they handled it just fine.

I'm running 305s on a 10inch. Had 315s on them and they hit the inner fender with stock suspension so I went to a 305. 315 would be my choice for that setup but on a wider wheel

So would a 305 70 16 be ok on an 8 rim? I know my 33x12.50 15 are fine on an 8" rim.

The factory alcoas that I have are 16 x 7" I wouldn't put 315s on those. My 315s are on 16 x 10 eagle alloys. I only had to trim the corner of front bumper

305 is about the same width as a 315. Id only trust a 285 on a stock wheel.
