Quick weather stripping question

Im buying weather stopping for my truck ( got some leaks when it rains hard) and on my old truck there was a short piece running on top of the door, whereas on my current truck there is not ( my old truck was a 94 my new truck is an 80) I'm just curious because there are alot of things missing on this truck

Is there supposed to be a piece on top? I'm Ordering it all within the next day or so and I would rather do it all at once haha

Mine has the piece on top, and if I remember correctly my 1995 F700 does too along with the 1986 F350.

I kinda figured that, is it a glue on piece or does it have tabs?

LMC has entire door and window seal kits...not sure if you've looked there. But they have blow up diagrams that show everything that should be on there and what all is in the kit. You may be referring to item #2 on this page in their catalog

LMC Truck Parts - Page 17

and my 82 has it as well

That's what sparked my curiosity, I didn't know of they would have made models without this piece for whatever reason lol but I will order the whole kit, thanks!
