I rebuilt the trans 6 years ago too, and upgraded the input shafts and drums in it.

Believe it or not I get around 15-16 mpg around town, thats reasonable driving. If I tow or had fun, it drops to 13-14 mpg. I want 37's or 38's in the future. I've got a huge space in the front wheel well I want to fill. Before the lift, tires, gearing, and with the old 5.0 I was getting 18 mpg, and 15-16 mpg when towing. But power SUCKED. Even though I lost 3-4 mpg its worth it for the amount of torque the 351w provides.
I forgot to mention: I bought the truck for $500, not running. Turns out the ignition module was bad. Lol. And I swapped in a 94 351w EEC with the J3 tuning port for the future.

thats pretty good mpg, far better than what i was expecting, i plan to basically redo my motor and set it up for torque, nothing like better mpgs with alot more power lol and is therea place you recomend for the tuning and computer stuff? i cant find anything for it, i need it so it can run properly
