Fuel tank questions - 78 SC

Going to replace midship & rear tanks in my 78 F250 SC 4x4 & have a few questions.

Truck has fuel injection and return lines to both tanks.
  1. RockAuto lists the 38 gallon rear tanks with or without a roll over valve. What is a rollover valve and where is it located on the tank?
  2. Front tank: The dimensions for the 20.2 & 22.5 tanks are the same... Will the 22.5 gallon tank fit my truck?
Any advice regarding tank quality vs. the various vendors that sell them?

Any advice in general about replacing fuel tanks?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure the roll over valve goes where I am pointing on the tank.

back when I was looking for one for my 79 4wd sc there weren't any available, for everything except 4wd sc...do your homwork before you buy, maybe/hopefully they started making them, I wound up sealing the tank, to be put back in...the fill neck location vary among the fwd/midship tanks

Not 100% on this, but if I recall (From when I replaced mine in my '78 F100), the Rollover Valve is actually a "vent"? If your truck had the charcoal canisters in the front, then it would have the valve. If it did not, then it wouldn't have the valve. From what I remember (and someone please feel free to correct me if wrong, or misleading)...if your truck currently has one, you should have lines running from the tank area to the engine compartment (passenger side, canisters mounted somewhere close to the frame) it was used to "vent" the fumes build up...I purchased the 19gal tank to replace the factory one on my '78, and ordered one with the valve hole, as mine came like that from the factory...now my truck is not near factory, or even close, but I did hook the line back up to the valve, just because...
