Looong day today, put my flip kit on the rear... Got it from Airbagit, not really "bolt on" I had to modify it a little to fit the way I wanted. All and all it turned out great. Had a chance to clean the fame up and undercoat. I actually got the bed back on but was too dark for pics. Here's what I have.

So the axle perches didn't quite fit the way they should, had to grind them down a bit so they would fit. Checked pinion angle after and much to my surprise ended up really nice. I just unbolted the springs so I wouldn't have to mess with brake lines and such. Went pretty smooth, a few coldies always helps.

Not a great photo, phone and it is dark.. But will have to do for tonight...

This morning, quite a bit lower now. I'm guessing 5-6" now I'll be ordering beams for the front to bring her down level.

Cutting coils is not a good idea on the twin I beam setup. Each end of the spring is made to fit the spring seat, plus you would encounter major problems trying to get the camber back to somewhat reasonable. Camber adjustments require bending the beams, done wrong it can ruin the beam, and there's only so much adjustment that can be done.

Well it's been a while since I posted last, I got my beams the other day and installed them along with new king pins. Went on really easy, gave me a chance to clean and paint the front end parts as well. Once the truck settled down I loved the way it sat. Gonna go get it aligned and drive her daily.

Just down off the jacks, springs hadn't settled.

After a quick drive around the block she settled down really nice. Great ride as well.

Well, thought I would add a few more photos and bring ya'll up to date. Had a small front brake line issue and replaced the two front rubber lines. Picked up a set of 20" wheels for 100 bucks and some used tires for 20 each and mounted them up. Not sure if I like the big wheels yet but it rides nice.... Gonna give em a run for a while. Really want to put torque thrusts on it, 18's.

Love it. Maybe some different rims would be better but for what you have in those they look pretty awesome.

I like the rims. I think they look good on there, I like the orange and black. 20" rims in the right bolt pattern $100 that's a steal!

I'm not much of a fan of 20" wheels on a classic like this, but for the price, you done good.

A bit brighter picture would be nice, can't really see much of the wheels.

I'd have to agree. Those rims look pretty good on your truck. The black offsets the orange very nicely. Gives it that bit of "bling" that I like on these old trucks. Just enough to make heads turn when you drive by .

I agree. The pictures you took make it kind of hard to see the rims, but they do look good in the pics you took.

Maybe take a few more, but at varying distances?

Just wanted to say hey all!! Been a while, got busy with work and such lol! Thanks for the comments, about the 20's, yea I'm not a real fan but my son likes em so they have kinda grown on me. And for the price... what the heck. lol

Anyway, been driving it daily and just aquired a new issue. Dang brand new battery keeps going down in a few days. Put new cables on her too. Any ideas??
