No load miss or cut-out???

Help for my 97 PSD. It has an intermittent miss (cut-out) at no or little load throttle. Seems to be getting worse and bucks sometimes with cruse control set. New Ford CPS installed and almost new Dorman TPS. No other symptoms noticed and seems to run fine otherwise. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!! Thanks all!

Have you tried a new ford or IH cps? Cheap easy try, and they are known to do some weird crap, along with you need to carry a spare, they are that common to fail.

Check the TPS with a mutimeter and look for any dead spot in the voltage.

Put the hot lead on the middle wire of the TPS and ground on NEG. Side if battery. Turn key to run and slowly push the pedal and watch the voltage

Have you check the plug and wires to the CPS real good ?

Your probably going to have to get it on a scanner that can see live data to see what the HPO system is doing

I understand that it takes a higher end scan tool to read the PSD's, is this true? I've been looking at them but there are so many to choose from? I'm open to suggestions?

Yes you'll need a good scanner.
I use the areoforce scangauge it around 250
If you have a laptop you can get a AE for around 250
Both of these can be picked up from clay at riffraff
