I have a 2001 F250 7.3 with 196k miles. It runs strong. I have programed it level 3. The issue I am having is lown RPM surging. If I am on the interstate and cruise running(60+ mph)..she runs great( if the cruise if off at same speed she jumps or surges.... City driving, below 40 mph and lower RPM, she surges like I am tapping the throttle with my foot.. I am assuming it could be the fuel filter..but that is an assumption. I am looking for some sound advice as to where I should begin looking to solve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help.

Does it do it without the program?

 

well, I am not sure. I programmed it right after I purchased in October and noticed it not long after. I will have to turn the rogrammer off..or back to stock settings and check. Today it was really bad. I had less than a 1/4 tank of fuel and at low rpm's it really surged..
