I hope someone here has an early Ford Parts book that could decipher these early ('57-'60?) 9" Ford rearend part numbers:
The carrier casting: WAB 4025A
The differential castings: WAC-4205A, WAC 4206A
Pinion Support Flange Stampings: WAA 11 4668B
Stamped on the ring gear: WAA-4210-A OR24 916 Shift No.2 FoMoCo USA
I was surprised to be able to make out on the tag: 3.70
The things I'd like to determine are:
A) What model car/truck this center section likely came out of;
B) What size side bearings it would have (3.063 or 2.89)
C) Is the differential is a limited slip or open
D) If the differential would accept 28 spline axles or ???
Thanks in advance of any & all assistance, Guys!
