The other stupid thing is that when my battery is totally dead,it can't open anymore. So I need jumper cables to open my doors,but since you can always open the hood,it's not that big of a problem.I've also installed a push button in the motor compartiment (hidden duh!) that can also open the locks in case of a problem with the remote control..
I just stumbled across this cable kit that would allow you to open your door even if the battery is dead. It's a little pricey, but I see that it has a nice cable loom that goes in the door jam.
You could indeed install something like that,but for the moment i'm happy with the way it is now ..There are other things that really need to be done .Guess I'm gonna look for new seats now that I've seen your pictures ..
For posterity, I downloaded Tom's photos from Facebook and posted them here on FTE (who knows what Facebook will do in the future?). Tom, I hope you don't mind... your solution is pretty cool and I didn't want it to get lost.
