I'm glad I am not the only one here who likes the old school rims.

Given that, it is hard to believe nobody is making anything retro in a modern size. I think turbines in a 17x9 would be a good seller...

 

Went and picked up my set of 4 today. Guy has had them since they were new!!! Like 20+ years. Scored these 4 for $125, they need some work but are easily saveable.

Can any of you guys direct me to where I can buy washers and lug nuts for these? Thanks!!!

 

WOW you lucky dog, you will probable have to go to a reputable tire&wheel place.
Cause you will need the long skinny collar shank to fit inside there and a pressure type washer?

I hear on these aluminium rims getting the lug nuts to stay tight it a constant battle, so FYI spent the $ and get a good quality set. Yea I know thats 32 lug nuts and some sort of constant friction washer x32.

When alum and steel are matted together its dissimilar metal so corrosion is common, put a little grease on the back side of the wheel hub area and anti siez on the threads.

I had to buy lug nuts for mine to. Because of the PO was missing some, I bought mine with washers from here.

I have a set of turbines and a set of slots here, I found the lugnuts for them at Amazon actually, had some on closeout and got most of them for under a buck apiece with washers so I'd check there for sure.. I'm not using these rims so if you find you need some I'd let them go reasonable.. I just don't know how to put pictures here..

 

My 73 f250's turbines I think used the 1/2"-20 thread pitch 1 1/4" long shanks. Just google it and there are a few places selling them.

 

Yes you will need pretty long lug bolts due to the thickness of the center of the rim, and like I said (in the other rim thread) make sure they stay torqued they can loosen up and ruin a rim pretty quick.

 

You will need the nuts with a .740" diameter shank. I think I used a 1 inch shank, I could measure them I guess but measure your rim thickness and go from there. Or I needed the ones with that size shank anyway, the smaller ones just would not fit tightly in the rim. I think its the same size as your average 9/16 stud lug nut McGaurds # is 62820.. spendy at Summit though

 

Not mine. Comes with lug nuts also. I know they are only 5 lug, but I'm sure 1/2 ton people are checking this thread out also.
