Need an entire dash for 83 F-100

This engine could have a 2 piece seal or a 1 piece seal .If its a 1 piece seal just pull the transmission .If it has a 2 piece seal then you can just pull oil pan which can be a pain meaning unhook fan shroud unbolt motor mounts jack engine up drop oil pan unbolt oil pump to get pan off then if your replacing rear main seal I'd check my main bearings and rod bearings for wear .Plastic gauge them check bearing clearance if .002 I'd say ok if .025 to.003 I'd replace. I did a lot of these 351M's and 400 engines and I don't recall a 1 piece seal in them .

LMC doesn't have dash pads, and not much in the way of dash trim. They just have the radio bezel, and only for shaft mount radios and the no clock option. It doesn't say if it's wood-grain or black...

The fairly expensive piece that they sell that ~looks like a dash pad is evidently just a flimsy vinyl cover for one, and totally NOT worth it. That will be a junkyard item, but luckily is very easy to remove if it's a pull your own part yard. I would definitely look for a radio bezel there also, but it can be hard to find a good one because most of them have been carelessly yanked out to get at the stereo... which is sad because most of those stereos are junk anyway, and good radio bezels are getting scarce. I just picked up a woven texture bezel to match my instrument cluster frame (I know they were mostly low trim levels that had the woven texture frames, but I like them). I have never seen a woven texture radio bezel with the clock option, but that's what small drill bits, files, paint, and patience are for!

I am not sure what the others are talking about when they say the dash pad from LMC truck isn't good.. I bought one and put it on my truck and it looks like new again. It was made well, durable, and not flimsy at all.. I used the glue they suggested and it fitted perfectly and looks great. When I showed other people, they thought it was a new dash, they had no idea it was only a cover. I'd say go for it.. It was a very easy process and for what its worth makes it look 100x better
