where shoud I disconnect fuel bowl heater ???

rebuilding my fuel bowl as we speak. I want to disconnect the heater. Would I be better off to leave the outside plug connected and just cut / disconnect the wire inside the bowl ??? Will that avoid any SES codes ?? Or does it matter at all ??

I unplugged mine at the bowl and taped up the harness connector. No SES codes thrown.

Do you want to keep the "water in fuel" indicator?

While rebuilding the bowl disconnect it inside and out. Clean it well. Heres the trick..

PLUG IT BACK IN!

You should no just leave it unplugged. The water in fuel sensor is also connected to the heater and you need to have that functional. People may say to unplug it, but that is to get you off the side of the road. Keep a spare fuse and plug it in.
