2001 5.4 f250 shift park problem?

I am having a problem and don't know where to look to fix it.
When shifting back to PARK the truck won't start next time I goto use it. I wiggle or have to shift through the DRIVE/2/1 and then back to park and it will start?
Where and how do I fix this because I never ran into a problem like this before.

Is the shift level loose and floppy? If so, there are two Torx head bolts on the steering column under the dash. They often loosen and cause this problem. Adding a drop of loctite and tightening them fix this.

If not, you probably need a TRS (Transmission Range Sensor.) It's on the driver's side of the trans. Look for the black part with a wiring harness attached.
