When you go to take a video of the truck running make sure you move the camera around too to try to isolate the noise. Sound tone can help give you a clue to what it is.
Also I would do a compression test if you can. I know you just changed the plugs so I doubt you want to do that again tho. lol

Why do the they even bother putting oil recommendation for these trucks when apparently we can just grab any oil and dump it in instead of the recommended. Then wonder why theres a knock, it probably has nothing to do with it but still. Yea I know the oil is dark and oily feeling and all it will work in any moving engine part.

Some engines have a 5-30 oil recommendation and then that same motor but the next year uses a 5-20 oil because of fuel economy. But a 20 is already so light they had to go to a Semi-synthetic to prevent it from over shearing.
Also weight of oil helps with noise but increases drag on parts and strain on the oil pump. Depending on the nature of the engine, even engine bearings have to be sized according to what oil is to be used.
Weight is only one factory tho and Ill take an oil with higher ZDDP and TBN (detergent additives) regardless of weight any day.
