Im thinking about tinkering with the timing on my IDI and was wondering if any IDI gurus wouldnt mind looking over my shoulder to make sure I dont screw something up....Ill buy the beer/food!

haha nah, its to hot/humid out there. I lived in east, tx for several years during college and really liked it. For my next move (when the time comes around) im thinking either central tx or gulfl coast area

 

if u make ur way to houston, there are a bunch of guys who can give u a hand wif ur truck. lol.

 

Maverick, Austin PD is taking applications for a modified academy that will start in January 2013. There is your move to Central Texas with a nice paycheck attached! Only 17 weeks of training and then out onto FTO at the best pay in law enforcement in the USA.

Im probably going to stay with my current department for a few more years. 1. Im really happy here and 2. that way the job history looks solid for future employers.

I have looked into Austin PD and its on the list. At this point Im just not sure if I want to get into the big city vs suburbs vs rural areas (like I have now)

 

I certainly respect that, since I grew up in very rural area myself. Too cold up there in the panhandle for me, though. I would love the rural aspect of what you are doing, but I landed here after the military so I am sticking it out for another 9 years and retiring back to the country then.
