need help with 3G alternator wire

Ive seen most of the threads but i cannot seem to find where everyone is hooking the green/red wire to the 3G's regulator plug...

Im using the diagrams from bc broncos all it says is to hook this wire where HOT in RUN/START. It is the I terminal on the 3G.

I would assume a wire to the old external regulator should provide this function but im also having a lot of issues in the old circuit i've got myself lost trying to trace my wiring from 9 years ago. LOL

Also, what do you do with the old wiring, if i remove everything i will have at least two wires going into the cab unhooked not sure what will be affected. The lime green wire from the S on the regulator connects to a Grn/red wire going to the cab and i have a red/orange(or yellow?) wire that goes to the A/solenoid/alternator I would think this goes to the voltmeter in the cluster?

I could use a link to a good wiring schematic to solve this problem

Thankyou!

Thats the wire you hook the green/red from the alternator.

Also you can remove all the factory wiring to the old alternator and regulator.

One thing not mentioned too much is you have to hook the big black/yellow wire to the battery side of the solenoid so that you can get power into the cab after you remove all the old wiring. I (and others) usually put an inline 80 amp fuse on the wire because you will have removed the fusible link.

EDIT: here are couple of HIO silver's pics of the wires from the monster 3g thread.

This second pic is of the factory wiring he modified to only have the wires needed and with the 3g connections on the other end.

awesome possum thankyou! lol
I already have the cab power blk/ylw wire on its own fusable link so im good there.

I still dont know what this orangy red wire(mentioned first post) goes to tho, must be the gauge then?

I've read that the AMPmeter will no longer work with the 3G swap, i thought the meter in my truck was a VOLTmeter? Soooo....? In my mind an ammeter and voltmeter are way different im i getting a misconception?

The factory gauge in the truck is an ammeter not a voltmeter and no it won't work anymore, but an easy fix with an after market volt meter.

Sorry for so many edits in my first post, but in the first pic you can see HIO silver has the red wire labeled as the wire for the gauge.
