Not when you blow a hole in the bottom side of the plastic tube by the intercooler.

I used my man hands to type this post

Hopefully I will get a coolant flush in this week to change out to ELC. Wanted to today, but it wouldn't stop raining.

Pulled the batteries and cleaned 'em up and applied some battery cleaner/neutralizer on both. Got an extra 1 to 1.5 volts more to them both now. Had lots of white crap in there. Wire brush and terminal tool works great!

Hey BPofMD, what is better about the 6.4L trans pan? Why did you go with it?

to lift the tab and the other to push back on the cap to move it away from the housing.

You don't want to remove the glass do to the fact that it is a major PITA to get the
drive pins back into the little motors. Also you have the heat wires for the mirror to
watch out for. Don't want to break them that is for sure.

See the connector for the signal LED? It can be
on really good and hard to get off.

I used some needle nose pliers to remove then and then a heat gun
to soften them up to reinstall and spread the wings back out to hold
in place

Once your ready to put the cover back on. Line the
clips up in the slots and give it a push. They should
all snap in place.

Let me know if you need any more info.
Also the covers come from Ford with the signal LED
assembly installed. It's too bad that they won't sell
the LED assembly by it's self. Expensive little beast.

EDIT : I forgot there are 4 clips you have to deal with. Do two at a time.
Thanks Sean!

The 6.4L filter does 100% of the fluid to 2 microns and requires the deeper pan.

Where-as the 6.0 is a bypass filter.

Here, read this, ignore the flaming in the middle:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ns-filter.html

Shouldn't one of these "upgrade to the 6.4 trans pan & filter" threads be in the Tech Folder??? I'm getting tired of searching for the dang things...

edit: I PM'd John to put one of the trans pan/filter update threads in the Tech Folder -- if one of you know of a good one, let him know...

Last week I ordered some 86 dollar lightly smoked headlights. Didn't expect much but I'm completely satisfied. Right out of the box I had minamal adjustment for the LED headlamps.

Sprung the old girl from jail today. She was at the dealership for the 150k service and a new thermostat. Temps are back where they should be and she seems a lot happier on the road.

Dealing with the old issue of money vs time and the lack of time won.

Now to get some cold weather fuel additive before I thake the Boy Scouts snow camping for three days
