I raced home from work trying to beat the rain so I could get the doors and rocker panels sand blasted . We have a few days of rain coming so it was this evening or be tied up waiting for weather to clear. I get her painted and back together before the snow and salt hit the road. The old 7.3 is not allowed out in the winter at all.

Got the results of my first oil analysis since I've owned the truck (almost 60K miles ago).

A little history. When purchased, I ran about 3-4 oil changes with Mobil 1 TD when auto zone had that big sale in late 2013 early 2014.
Then switched to Rotella T6. No issues, but I just wasn't really happy with it.
Switched to Delo 5-40 and liked it.
2 injectors go out while on the Delo.
I think it was coincidence, but I couldn't help but wonder.
Switched back to T6 out of fear.
1 injector (one that was just replaced by ford) goes out again on T6 this time. Can't blame the Delo now.
Oil change w/T6 again because I had in stock.
Sent T6 off for oil analysis (see results below).
Switched back to Delo 2 weeks ago:-). Really liking the way the truck runs on Delo.

So this oil analysis is on the T6.
Looks good to me. Am I missing anything? What do you think about that recommended OCI?

WHat type of bumps were you going over?

You had a axle trying to go up and a shock that was not moving fast enough
and it lost the war. You may find if you open it up a jammed piston.

But that is all just a guess.

One other thought. I would check all the axle mounting hardware
so you can be sure that something else did not let go and cause this.

Impressive! Luckily no real damage though by the looks of things.

For me this afternoon my truck got a treat. Complete front axle brake job including rotors and pads. Plus I rebuilt the calipers, lubed everything, flushed all the fluid, and reassembled . Maybe the rear will get the treatment tomorrow afternoon.

Abu the looks of that shock she is seized up tight. As for the oil thread earlier, I had really good luck with Delo for quitters a long time, probably 30k to 100k Km. Then I switched over to my DMO from Co-op which is 0w40. I don't know of you guys would be able to find down south but I definitely noticed a difference with cold starts and really noticed a big difference with the REALLY cold starts.

I figured it would be seized up, but when i took it off, it actually expanded every time i tried to compress it. Maybe it just temporarily seized up and then shocked (ha) itself free again? either way...its a goner lol
