UPDATE ON MOM

Update:

It was not a full break just a crack. So Mom got 3 screws to close
the bone up and give support. However this will put her out of commission
for quite a while. I think it's best I put off my surgery till she is back
to a condition where she can put up with me after my surgery.

We will just so see how things work out.

Thanks Everyone.

Cruising down the highway coming home from Friday night supper with my wife and the drivers side mirror cover just decides to come loose. It's not broken and all the clips look good it just won't stay on anymore. Without dragging out the gorilla glue anyone have any suggestions on how to make them snap back on?? Anyone have any trouble with them? What sucks is that they're not very old but I don't know if they have any warranty on them. Even the chrome covers won't stay on and they've never been used. GRRRRRRR.

Not sure about the buss bar, but if you can give them a little twist as you remove them it helps. Just be patient.

Getting to them and NOT breaking the harness is the hardest part. Overall it's a piece O cake.

Tilt the glass all the way down then use a flat head to pop the top 2 clips back in. I had to slightly bend mine with the flat head to get them to stay on in the first place.

Took it out this morning to go pumpkin picking at the fall festival. On the way there I look down at the speedometer and it sayd I am goin over 90 mph. Hmm, something is strange here. I was going about 60. I kept an eye on it and it stayed rght around 30 mph over. When we stopped the needle settled down right around 25-30. Acted the same on the way home too. We stopped at a store and I stayed in the truck and did some google-fu on my iphone. I turned the truck off an held in the odometer button as I turned the key to on. The guages sweeped and the speedo is working properly again. Success! That is until I notice the cel is illuminated. I am thinking this is too coincidental. I read the codes when I get home and it is showing a P0341 and P0676. I cleared the codes. We shall see if they return. Will be heading out again in about 10 minutes.

Had something similar happen with my Bronco years back but
it was the tach. Scared me to death. It was a 5 speed manual and I drove more off the rpm then the speed. I was at a stop light and the tach was reading 3500. I quickly turned the ignition off as I thought the throttle might be stuck. Started her back up and was back to 3500. Dang tach was out of sync. Stayed that way for the next 5 years never fixed it.

On another note I started my baby today and took it to the store to grab some bc powder and a tater log
