for me its always been the opposite with my early styles.. i can see more out of the pass side one than the driver side.. least the pass side i can see vehicles with it.. but the driver side im just kinda looking at the dually fender. tires and the ground..

Unless it was the Mob or a cartel. Then they would just murder you for real.

Myself I pay the tax over the 2nd choice.

The nice thing about the kits from SDS as they are pre-wired and ready to plug in the earlier trucks. No kiddin, I kinda planned for a Saturday morning for the install but I had both of them on in 30 min. Came with chrome and paint to match covers and white and yellow lenses. Also an adapter harness for each side, I guess that's for if you want to install them on the newer trucks.
Adapter is for the early models...

Finished the install of the Diamond Eye 3.5 inch downpipe around 2:00 this morning with the help of my neighbor.

Several observations:

-I don't ever recommend a 4 inch downpipe unless you're pushing 190s and a bigger turbo. It was PITA to get out, I can only imagine having to put it in. The 3.5 downpipe went right in with plenty of clearance for everything, including the clamp.

-The road test after was surprising. My truck had noticeably more torque accelerating from a stop and even while cruising. I.e. the turbo effortlessly spooled when I accelerated vs taking some time to spool then go. While cruising, I gently mashed the pedal and the turbo again responded noticeably faster when I needed to accelerate and change lanes. This was a problem with my 4 inch downpipe because the turbo took some time to spool when I needed to get into another lane and not get run into. (notice I didn't say anything about getting run over)

Overall, I WISH I had opted for a kit with a 3.5 inch downpipe instead of 4 inches. My truck performs that much better.

I thought you'd like the difference when you got done.

Granny truck took me to the hospital this morning to get a facet injection in my back and brought me home before I whooped that doctor's a**. I'd rather have another hip replaced than go through that again. WOW that hurt.
