Guages will tell you what you have to do now and what is starting to fail. not sure what all you are replacing but Guages would have told you if your oil cooler is in need of being changed. In which you will be pulling everything you are now ago over again. Even in stock form it is important to keep an eye on things.

The other day....

Removed & inspected the Driver's Side Cab-Mounts (that I replaced 2 years ago w/Poly's) trying to find that damn annoying "clunk"
I get when turning while going over bump's ---- They are just fine BTW

Removed Front Sway-Bar to verify that wasn't making the "clunk"

I also removed the Front Drive-Shaft, to grease slip-yoke & verify that didn't have anything to do with "clunk"

* Drove w/both removed & u guessed it still there

While I was doing that my lovely Wife cleaned the Carpet w/her new machine

Today....

Re-Installed the Sway-Bar (w/new Bushings) & F.Drive-Shaft

Also drained 2 qt OIL to add a bottle of that "Hot Shots Secret"

I have almost put 2,000 miles on my Truck in nearly 7 months, so I figure that additive will be in there for some time before I hit 5,000 miles
(nothing wrong w/her, just wanted to try it)

Damn, if 1 of us figures it out....Share

I've recently replaced :

1. All 4 Ball-Joints (had 1 bad upper)
2. both Knuckle Seals
3. both Dust Seals
4. both Hub Bearing Assemblies
5. Sway-Bar Bushings

& it still sounds the same

I had figured it was due to the bad Upper Ball-Joint it had for awhile & after I fixed all that crap Iam now chasing the "clunk" (which isn't actually bad, I just hate it) but I guess being a 2006 w/almost 127,000 miles, I guess its getting time to re-fresh things....

* Iam hoping it may be due to the Transmission Mount, the Rubber isn't attached to the Steel bottom anymore & clunks around. I removed the 2 nut's & jacked the Trans outta the Cross-Member, after I noticed it appeared to be sitting crooked.....Fingers Crossed

Does anyone have any preference for a DD economy tune between QT Vivian IDP Eric? I just want something to be a slight upgrade (30-50 HP) over stock but not have crazy EGT's or cylinder pressures. I will also be looking for some tow tunes in the near future and want to pick between GH matt, QT vivian, and IDP Eric.

What about shock bushings? I have the bump and squeak also. I know it's time for new ones.

Mine rolled over 180K on the way to work this morning. 56,000 miles since the engine work was done and (knock on wood) no issues and runs awesome!

Well i haven't started looking yet lol but i have 40,000 miles on new ball joints, all the seals, front axle u joints and about 30,000 miles on new leaf springs and shocks. I dont have a front sway bar so i know its not that. Mine always does it turning into my driveway, where it goes up on an incline to the sidewalk then declines into my driveway...it makes the clunk when load is put back on the passenger side i think

i have 153,000 miles
