The factory oil TEMP sensor works extremely well.

The factory oil PRESSURE sender is just a switch that triggers an overglorified idiot gauge.

^ What they said...

I removed my factory fog lights today for my LED fog lights...then realized i am not quite sure how i want to mount them yet, and one of my wiring harness adapters is no good so thats on hold

Pretty sure i found out whats causing the bad smell coming through my HVAC vents..not the trucks fault lol.

And still wondering why my brakes are so bad, think im going to bleed them again

yup... from everything ive read and seen on them reguardless of the make model they all work exactly the same... even from physical observation from installing aftermarket gauges on other vehicles ive seen differences in inaccuracy in the stock gauges to what aftermarket installed ones put out.

i know what temp is short for... an anemometer is a wind meter merely by a different name... doesnt make it accurate just because thats what its called.. the evidence is right in front of you.. its your choice to ignore it at your own will.. all i can say is i tried to inform you as to your question...

so when ford determines you have a bad oil cooler because the oil temp theyre looking at on their computer through the OBD2 is too high, its not accurate?

what im saying is FORD did NOT put a OIL TEMP gauge on the dash cluster to begin with.. yes you can hook a scanner up to them and get a reading from them.. how closely accurate they are is up for debate.. you can have a sensor go bad and read higher when the scan tools are hooked up..

as to the gauges on the dash they are fuel level, Oil Pressure. Trans Temp and Water Temp.. the only way youll see the oil temp sensor go off is if the computer sits there and tells the cluster to illuminate your SES light..

as to accuracy of those ones actually on the cluster... ive watched it sitting in my driveway how far off they are... Trans temps reading it up to full Operational Temp after the truck hadnt even been running for a minute yet... while the aftermarket still sitting there still on the peg.. now 6-7miles down the road its climbed up to about 120-130ish by time im hitting the highway its right about 160 which for our trucks norm operating temp is 160-170*

No lol

I installed my LED fog lights today. I really didn't want to spend $58 on the brackets some people make and im glad i didnt. Went to home depot and bought a $4 piece of right angle aluminum and used the holes/bolts from the factory fog light brackets. Worked perfectly...ill take a pic of the light output tonight

Thursday I towed 6 tons of river gravel on a dump trailer. Truck didn't seem to care, until I was trying to back it through the yard. It decided I needed 2 more ditches, and about 60' less grass. Put the hubs in, and back too normal.
The reverse us kinda high strung in these trucks.....it takes a lot of boost to get it moving, than it is doing 100mph. (I know, not really, but I would prefer a little slower reverse ratio.)

Probably wouldn't hurt, but at the same time, I'm not a big fan of having 3,000 RPM to be traveling backward at a rate of 20 km/hr or whatever the Allison does. Something I couldn't quite get used to in my 01 GM.

I guess I've never felt the need to go fast in reverse. In most instances, I don't even give it throttle in reverse.
I only touch the throttle to back out of my drive.
I wish it was like a granny gear! Backing trailers, or backing through the woods (cutting firewood) is a pain needing so much juice, than going way faster than I wanted.
Put your truck in a rut, with a load of wood on it,and try to back up nice and easy.
