haha, you guys are great!

I wouldn't mind keeping Chitty really but I just don't ever drive it and you know a 6.0 needs to be driven. I don't pull any trailer really in winter so I don't have much use for a truck in winter besides the plow truck. I thought I would use it more but I just don't.

I have to keep the 7.3, it fits all my kids, dog, gear, and stuff.

I forgot to mention when the test driver came the very first thing he did was open the tailgate, drop it, and then comment/complain about how heavy it was and how his tailgate on his 09 is so much lighter. I asked if his 09 had tailgate assist, he didn't know what that was. I don't know how this guy could get himself to buy any used vehicle. lol

Hfcm info

I'm new to the ford world. I've purchased an 03 f-350 4wd about 2 months ago the hfcm light came on. I've drained the plug many times the light comes back on I've changed the filters the light comes back on I've drained the tank and put new fuel back in, the light comes back on. It seems to come on at about the same time 5 miles of driving or bout 5 mins idling. I unhooked the batteries today and let them stay off for several hours. I thought might reset something, the light comes back on. I can turn it off and crank it back but after about 5 miles or mins it comes back on. HELP,

Finished pulling the fugly chrome off my rockers.
Figured out a method to it lol was getting tired of pulling on the vice grips while heating so I hooked a ratchet strap to a post and put some tension on it then pulling up and down on the strap as I was heating it came off pretty good. Was able to keep steady pressure that way and there are no little dings in the door this way from the pliers like I did on the passenger side... Grrr

I'm atually quite suprised how well the plastidip on the trip pieces held up. Even with the heat and pulling it stayed stuck to the trim.

One step closer to the bedliner project.

U will have to unhook the lines to tat thing, unplug the entire hfcm, unbolt it and take the whole thing out. There should be a cover on it. Of cos, u remove the cover to the fuel filter too. U clean tat out good. But there should be a cover at about where the drain plug is. Unbolt that and take off the cover and u should be able to clean tat out real good. Beware, it should be gunky as hell.

Someone should come on here and correct me if I'm wrong. Lol. But u get the general idea.

Yep had to do that last January!

Get the seal kit for the HFCM. Pull it off the truck, bench strip it and clean it thoroughly! Put it back together with the new seal kit and reinstall! Make sure to get the updated drain plug so you do not need to carry a 6 mm allen wrench with you.

Put on a new set of Pirelli Scorpion ATR's yesterday that I stole from tire rack for 125/tire plus shipping. Getting ready for the long painful winter we seem to have coming.

I know, right??? They're on close out and I've watched them drop the price for a couple of months. $125/tire plus a $60 Pirelli gift card rebate made them too good to pass up and I love the way they ride and drive. The only drawback was the shipping/tire@ $32, but still $567 delivered for a set of 4 tires wasn't bad plus they're 10 ply and speed rated to 118 mph. I still had to pay the mounting and balancing but the lowest price I could find here from anyone was $890 and I have a tire tech at Walmart here that is exceptionally good at what he does. Hard to beat lifetime balance and rotation.

I'm going to need tires come spring I think. I've been casually looking and getting sticker shock. I had planned to just buy another set of the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S's that are on there now but dang $$.

Dang is right! I'm looking now. Need some before the rains set in. $1700 to $1900 to replace the Toyos I have with Toyos again! (35x12.5x18)
