Yeah I think my transmission learns itself into a hole... It was slapping pretty hard into 4th the other day will stuck in touch and go traffic on I95. Granted I have a GoGo style solenoid and it shifts hard as it is.. But I could feel it in the truck. I had my OD lock extended and it worked for a while.. But it seems to lock when it wants at 45. I guess I drive my truck too little.

Did the 2008 pan and filter on the truck and it was definitely time to do so

The stock pan and what fell out of the transmission

The magnet wasn't too bad considering the PO never did anything with the transmission

The two pans side by side

$188 and 8.5 quarts of Mercon LV later, the trans is VERY happy with this mod. I have a feeling I may need to add another quart, but so far so good! Money well spent!

Planning on taking my powermax turbo out and having it painted (blue). In the meantime I'm borrowing a 2006 stock turbo. And now that I saw Tor's post I may just get the mag-Hytec pan to match my diffs and change fluid and filter.

Feel free to buy me one too, I know how you like spending that money on upgrades. So, to keep you from getting bored, you may toss upgrades at my truck anytime. Just PM me when ever and I'll confirm my shipping address for you, just no C.O.D please.

after 1.5 weeks of trying everything i could to blame my gauge as being faulty i failed... even bought a mechanical gauge to try and prove my electrical one wasnt reading right... Fail...

Apparently my low fuel pressure reading wasnt due to the sensors reading incorrectly... but actually because my fuel pump was on it last hobbling little leg..

I had bought a new one to still try and disprove it wasnt the pump.. didnt work...

old next to the shiny new.. old one rattled when i took it out too...

apparently theres sand running around in my tank too... not too surprised seeing as ive found it everywhere else around the truck too...

least now i have 55psi instead of the 34psi i was getting...

I actually had the same problem with mine. The truck came from Amarillo, practically the dust bowl and it had dust in places I never knew you could get dust on a truck.

It might be a good idea to run the tank down, drop the tank and see what's going on. You can also do the harpoon mod while the tank is down.

Looks like the little post on the top edge of the fuel filter didn't get to where it is supposed to go. Thus, the twisted filter.

One of the first times I changed that filter, it was hard to get the cap all the way on. That is when I was putting the filter in the cap first. Now, I put the filter in the housing first, then the cap.

think someone already has harpooned it.. cuz i can fill up at the truck stops with the super diesels lol had a lady come running out saying i couldnt do that because the nozzle wouldnt fit.. slipped it right in and filled right up.. lol was nice to fill up in less than a minute than waiting almost 3 at the regular pumps lol... i wanna change the tank to something bigger eventually...
