I think the rail's are straight yet. The garage I have it, the fella said he will check it, but he looked at it quick, and said he doesn't see any issue's and that "I got pretty lucky, hitting beside the frame." I do know, it took my block heater wire, and sheared it off. But it was just a $14 cord, so I'm not worried about it. I did Stand Pipe's and Dummy plug's awhile back. I don't really have the fund's now to try and Stud it or anything. I might put a Ram Air hood on it though.

Nope didn't use Loctite and don't remember the new ones I used this summer having Loctite on them either. Not a bad idea though.

That's gonna be a pricey repair. Maybe the shop can work with you on your parts/deductible and help out with the Ram Air hood.

Don't feel like the lone ranger. I know someone else that had an encounter with a tree yesterday that shall remain nameless. All he did was crush a bedside (luckily).

Remember.....as long as YOU are OK the truck can be repaired. That's really all that matters Adam

I just spoke at him!
My mechanic said without ripping it apart, he is figuring (Ball Park) $5000. He said the stock hood is $8-900. Something about it being the Aluminum one? O well, stuff happen's, this is why I pay insurance. This is the 1st time I ever used it, in 17yrs of driving.

Never heard that the stock hood was aluminum....hmmmmm. I don't think the Ram Air is that much or it didn't used to be.

From Auto Nation Hood Assembly list $614.98 cost $405.89 . Not sure I'd want to ship a hood though.

This is my favorite: http://www.cervinis.com/99-07super-d...-air-hood.html

Sorry to hear bout ur predicament, Adam. **** happens. I was in a similar situation but I finally got her rebuilt and paid off too. U will get her back up and running again. Keep the faith.

I've always been wanting the twin scoop hood for our trucks.
